Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts; maintain accounting data and files; research financial transactions; input and retrieve accounting data in both computerized and manual systems; prepare spreadsheets and create and modify reports; review and evaluate internal controls and recommend changes; perform other related fiscal duties. Duties include working on a special project in the Accounting Office.
4 year college degree in Accounting, Business Administration , Finance or directly related field with an emphasis in Accounting. One (1) year experience in bookkeeping, accounting or auditing capacity or directly related experience. Experience in accounting, spreadsheet and word processing software. ( Additional experience may be substituted for education on a year to year basis ) Knowledge of fund accounting and related computer technology and ability to apply to varied accounting transactions; experience in spreadsheet development and utilization and the management of electronic data files. * Length of assignment is dependent on available funds and is currently anticipated to end by 10/31/17 and possibly into early 2018. Exhaustion of funds prior to that date will result in the end of the assignment.
